“I wanted to let you know that Ken Robinson -a very, very well spoken (and funny) speaker on education, as in unschooling, rethinking factory schooling, will be speaking in Madison on Tues.  Info below.  Tickets are free and you are supposed to pick them up in advance.

If you are not familiar with him there is an excellent 10 min animated lecture of a talk he gave called “Changing Education Paradigms” here:

(The RSA Animations are really, really interesting, e.g., there is one that challenges conventional ideas about what motivates people, one on cultural perceptions of time, a critique of capitalism, and others).”

Ken Robinson
Author, speaker and international advisor on education in the arts to government, non-profits, education and arts bodies. Director of The Arts in Schools Project (1985¿89), Professor of Arts Education at the University of Warwick (1989¿2001) and knighted in 2003 for services to education.
