Join us for a free fruit tree pruning workshop! We’ll focus on young trees that were planted bareroot three years ago at the small orchard adjacent to Quann Community Garden.
* How to shape the growth of a young tree by pruning.
* Which kinds of branches to prune and which to keep.
* Why different kinds of trees should be pruned differently.
Jim Winkle, who has been pruning backyard fruit trees for 15 years, will lead this workshop which takes place Sunday, March 20, 2010 from 10-11:30 am.
Space is limited, and last year it filled very quickly. PLEASE REGISTER by sending an email to Christie Ralston at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Please bring sharp pruning shears if you can (we’ll have a few extras).
Sponsored by Madison Fruits and Nuts, Quann Community Garden, and Community GroundWorks.
